Undercurrent

This watery beauty has a combination of warm and cool colours to capture a glimpse of sand peeking through the waves. This painting reminds of the place on the shore where one wave is crashing in at the same time as another is being sucked back to the depths of the ocean. I have incorporated texture into the base layer to create depth in the piece and it is reminiscent of barnacles that form on the rocks.
