Bryophyte

I love hiking out in the mountains and there is always something that transports me to a fairy tale world when you see the spongy sphagnum moss on the forest floor or wispy strands of moss dangling from the trees.

The elements of this painting take me right there. In the midst of a little winter blizzard while I was creating this piece, I was dreaming of summer hikes and fresh, mountain air.
