Peonies

Inspired by the peonies that adorn my garden each summer, this painting was one of my first forays back into regular creative practice after a long break.  Although I only do a few floral paintings and my main subject matter is abstract-contemporary, the marks and use of colour in this piece have my signature style trademark.
